About The Bands

Walla Walla Valley Bands is a non-auditioned adult community band, the largest program of its kind in eastern Washington and one of the largest in the state. With a current roster of more than 80 members, the Bands comprise a full concert band and big band jazz ensembles, rehearsing weekly from September through June and performing regularly throughout the season.  A typical year includes concerts in October, December, March, April, May and July 4th in Pioneer Park. The bands and smaller ensembles also play at other community and outreach events.

Rehearsals and most performances are held in the Walla Walla Valley Academy in College Place, WA.

WWVB is run by an active Board and Executive Committee, and relies on volunteer efforts of members for every aspect of its operation, from fundraising and marketing to setting up rehearsal and concert spaces, maintaining a large music library, moving and securing equipment, recording performances, recruiting new members and paying the bills.
